TACFIRE - Tactical Firearms Training Institute

M1A Rifle

This two-day course is designed to introduce the student to safely manipulating and accurately firing an M1A Rifle.

Classroom Day 1: Approximately 4 hours will be spent in the classroom. Subjects will include, but are not limited to: firearm safety, care and cleaning, maintenance, fire control systems, cycle of operation, function check.

Range Day 1: Approximately 4 hours will be spent in the range. Subjects will include, but are not limited to: range safety, zeroing, administrative loading and unloading, reloading, slings, position shooting.

Second Day

Topics to Include
Approximately 8 hours will be spent at the range. Subjects will include, but are not limited to: range safety;movement; cover and concealment, multiple threats, conventional positions and proficiency test.
