AR15/M1A

Curriculum
This course is designed to introduce the student on how to safely manipulate and accurately fire an M1A/AR15 Rifle.
Classroom Day 1
Approximately 4 hours will be spent in the classroom. Subjects will include, but are not limited to:
Firearm safety; rifle description; Ammunition; Cycle of operation; Battle sight zero; Disassembly and assembly; Function check; Maintenance; Magazines; Loading and reducing; Stoppages, malfunctions and immediate action; Readiness conditions; Reducing rifle to “unit safe condition”; Rifle accessories;
Care & cleaning and written test.
Range Day 1

Approximately 4 hours will be spent at the range. Subjects will include, but are not limited to:
Range safety; Marksmanship fundamentals; Firing positions; Zeroing; Sling Techniques


Approximately 8 hours will be spent at the range. Subjects will include, but are not limited to:
Range safety; Transition to handgun; Movement; Cover and concealment;
360 Scanning; Stoppage reductions
Support side manipulation and shooting; Low light shooting techniques and Proficiency Test.
We will have available any items that you may need. Advanced notice required!
