Skills and Drills
Sunday, September 20th Skills and Drills
TacFire is implementing a new format for our monthly practice sessions. We want to maximize your training value by splitting the day into two purpose-driven blocks, rather than running two general practices.
0900–1200: Handgun Skills Workshop
- This is a structured class where each month we will focus on a specific skillset. Expect direct instruction and individual feedback aimed at building and refining those techniques. Simply arrive with an open mindset, ready to train.
- Expect to shoot between 200–300 rounds.
1200–1300: Lunch Break
- If you are attending both sessions, please bring a lunch, water and snacks.
1300–1500: Handgun Drills Session
- This is purely drill-focused range time; there will be no teaching. We will structure and explain the purpose of the drills, and then give you the opportunity to focus on your specific individual goals within the scope of those drills. This format is designed to give you space to assess your own performance and build a higher level of consistency through repetition.
- Expect to shoot between 300–400 rounds.
Note on Ammunition: We will have ammunition (9mm, .40 and .45) for sale at the range. Prices will be below retail.
You can take either session on its own, but they are designed to complement each other. The morning skills workshop delivers instruction and direct feedback, and the afternoon provides the necessary repetitions to solidify those concepts. This new format is designed to provide flexibility for you to advance toward your training goals.
- $20 daily range fee must be paid in cash at the range.
